Hey! I’m Dave Fonseca

It is a true gift to possess the talent to make a woman feel beautiful, confident and sexy. After twenty years working behind the chair my goal is simply to make you feel your absolute best!

My hairstyling career began in Kalamazoo, Michigan. I attended Chic University of Cosmetology where I graduated top of my class. From there I moved to Chicago, Illinois and began assisting Charles Ifergan at Charles Ifergan Salon. Heralded for his dry haircuts and blowouts, techniques which I continue to utilize to this day. I absorbed Charle's teachings like water to a sponge. He is partly responsible for cultivating the hairstylist I am today. Ultimately I knew a departmentalized salon was not for me and I took my education with me as I traveled around a few salons in Chicago. My dream of owning my own salon came to fruition in February of 2014.

Now that I held the keys to my destiny I embarked on a journey to train with those I considered to be the best in the industry. This led me to the amazing colorist Tracey Cunningham at Meche Salon in Beverly Hills. Tracey sets industry standards with her elite celebrity clientele which include the Kardashians, Jessica Biel, Maggie O, Shakira, JLo, and countless others.

I followed Tracey's class with shadowing Danielle White of NBR Extensions and Chrissy Rasmussen of Habit Salon both of whom are responsible for changing the landscape of the hair extension business with the introduction of hand tied hair extensions. Being able to offer such an elite service that catered to women for a multitude of reasons is one of the biggest reasons why I was so successful in Chicago. Hand tied hair extensions was and continues to be a game changer in the hair extension market.

Lastly I studied under Academy Ramirez|Tran under the expertise of Johnny Ramirez and Anh Co Tran who are the leading experts of lived-in hair, both color and cut. Johnny’s approach to creating effortless hair color is still utilized in todays market. Learning under Anh just complimented my training with Charles Ifergan but with a fresh view on dry haircutting.

Formerly a balayage educator for The Business of Balayage, I have a strong affinity for sun-kissed highlights. I live by a philosophy of utilizing your natural hair color as much as possible. This helps to eliminate brassy tones as well as harsh grow out lines.

I also hold multiple certifications for Keratin Treatments. I prefer the option of using multiple formulations to offer the best result for each client. Not every client desires a stick straight result. Additionally some clients have aversions to certain Keratin Treatments.

Other certifications include Balayage, Air Touch, Lived-In Color and Hand Tied Hair Extensions. It has been said to me that you lease your hair from me. And I promise to treat it with care, love and respect!
